I currently have a few open lesson slots for bass guitar, upright bass, and guitar (acoustic or electric).
I also offer tutoring for music theory (AP Music Theory can be hard!), as well as songwriting + music composition coaching.
My Experience
In 2021 I graduated from CU Boulder with a B.A. in Jazz Performance. Since graduating, I’ve been a full-time musician and private instructor. You may have seen me performing in Boulder or around the U.S.A. and in Canada with Extra Gold and Eddie Turner (of Zephyr and Eddie Turner & Trouble). Other artists/groups I have worked with include Paul Beaubrun (of Arcade Fire), Red Rock Vixens, Eduardo Cassapia & The Steamboat Springs Symphony Orchestra, Diamond Empire Band, and Louis Pettinelli Entertainment. With years of experience playing jazz, rock, pop, funk, blues, folk, and country - I am confident we can work together to help find your voice in any genre!

Why I Teach
Teaching is passing on wisdom in your community. I am so grateful to all those that have helped me along my journey in being a musician, and there is nothing like being able to do the same for others.
I am excited to be able share with you what I’ve learned from my teachers and mentors. I’ve learned countless lessons from my own experience as well - playing in bands locally, seeing projects succeed, and touring across the continent. I want to show you the tools you need to enrich your life with music - whether you want to sing at the campfire, record your own songs, or play live with a band.
How I Teach
Everyone learns differently.
Some people are most motivated exploring topics they are most interested in the moment. Maybe they are excited to learn a new song they just heard. Maybe on a given week, they really want to focus on something new and exciting.
Another type of student may know they would work best with a curriculum chosen by their teacher. They think, “I don’t know exactly what I want to focus on, but I want to start learning.” I’ve had many students say, “I want to be able to play a particular style of music, but I don’t know where to start.”
Both are valid ways of learning. Sometimes I use lesson plans, method books, and exercises with students. Sometimes my students tell me what they want to work on in a lesson. It all depends on YOU! As we get to know each other better, we will develop a relationship built on learning music that’s easiest for you.
Book a Lesson!
A free 30-minute intro lesson. This gives us a chance to get to know each other a little bit, and to talk about music you like - as well as your experience level.
A 1-hour lesson. This is the ideal amount of time for teens and adults interested in learning!
